Police in Albania :/

Sooo something exciting, we had to go to the police station!! Okay, you cant imagine one in America because it is nothing like that, it says policia on the outside so it looks like it is going to be a simple, nice, police station. Not the case, inside looks like an abandoned DMV but worse. So basically my companion, lost her phone, so we went up to a police mans office and he smoked as he asked us a series of question, one was if we wanted a cigarette. So that is definitely a first and hopefully a last, but it was an experience to say the least.

We had so many people in our English course this week. We saw a family that comes to our course, when we were out to eat and they paid for our meal. It was the sweetest thing ever! People here are so giving and so thoughtful it totally made our day! They left without letting us know they had paid for it, and shows how selfless they are they didn't care to have any credit for what they had done. That is so amazing, so important that we do acts of service without expecting recognition. That reminds me of Christ, he served everyone and expected no thanks for the things that he did. People may not always show thanks for the things that we do, but we can be more Christlike when we serve others, whether they appreciate it or not.

I am loving it out here! I am also getting transferred to a new city called Berat so that will be way exciting, I will keep you all updated! Love you guys, have the best day!

Plazhë

Hey everyone,
Weeks are just going by here in Albania! Got to go to the beach today, it was really chilly, but really pretty!

We are teaching a member's husband, and he is so cool, it would be unreal if he would make the decision to be baptized because then they could be sealed in the temple together as a family. He is amazing though, and understands the gospel, and I cant wait for the day he is ready for baptism, because it will bless his family so much! We had a really good lesson this week and my companion had a story that related to him perfectly and it helped me to clearly see that God really has a perfect plan and we have a purpose in our lives. God puts us places for a very specific reason and I saw that this week with my companion. We all have unique qualities about us and experiences that God can use to bless the lives of others. Sometimes we may not see it, but I promise God is working through us and we have a very specific purpose.

Also had an exchange in Tirana! Which was awesome I was with sister whitfield. It was so fun we learned the traditional Albanian dance, which is a party, and I think all of you should learn it! I bet you could find it on you tube! It's called vale, let me know if you learn it!

Love you all, have the best day!

happy new year!

Happy new year!
Cannot believe its 2020! This week was really exciting. On new years eve and new years day we had to be in our house at 4:00. New year's Eve is the biggest holiday here, so everything closes and we got to stay up, which made it so we could watch all the fireworks. It was so fun, there were so many, so it was crazy! We got to go to our mission presidents house for news years day, so got to see a lot of the other missionaries. That was really fun.

Hit an all time low for this year. So the power was out in our house, the hot water was off and we had lice. So to sum it all up I was washing out lice shampoo in the dark, in freezing water. Honestly, so good for me, because I take all those things for granted. So it was a little blessing in disguise.

Today we went to this castle and it is in this cute small little city on top of a mountain. It was so pretty. It was really cold, but so much fun. It has been a really good year already! 2020! Love you all. Resolution idea for you all is read the book of mormon everyday, even if you only have time for one verse! It will make 2020, even better!!
